Richard Symister @ MovEvolution Physical Therapy

Bio: A New York-licensed physical therapist, Richard has guided clients toward faster healing, improved physical fitness, and enhanced performance for over 19 years. The first black male to earn a master’s degree (MSPT) from the renowned Simmons Graduate School of Physical in Boston, Massachusetts, Richard went on to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and then obtained certification as a USA Level I Track and Field Coach. He’s particularly interested in dance and sports rehabilitation, nutritional timing for improved athletic performance and expanding his knowledge as a Certified Kinisio Tape Practionner (CKTP) to facilitate speedier healing. Richard has worked with hundreds of diverse clients throughout his extensive career, including dancers, athletes, martial artists and post-surgical patients. It was a natural progression for Richard’s passion and expertise to lead him into entrepreneurship. His latest venture, MovEvolution, is a new physical therapy studio in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, dedicated to athletes, artists, and those seeking customized, one-on-one attention to maintain, increase and restore physical health.
